11/04/05@work

Salamat Hari Raya to all our Muslim buddies

Song of the Day: “This is a Song From the edge of the World”- Siouxsie and the Banshees (I have the remix- anyone know where I can get the original?)

Just learned that the cans I donate at work- the money goes to help out a “Christmas family…”
Hmm……..
Also that you can jaywalk in front of a cop…not that I tried or anything…
Also REALLY hate the Thunder Cloud Subs radio ad…really grates the ears…

And something that doesn’t grate your ears- Look up Wolfshiem, which I’m listening to right now. They’re an electronic German duo- pretty mellow for a dance band but totally awesome nonetheless…

One thing that sucks about Austin- bands don’t usually make it out here…for example U2 played not that long ago…and the closest they played was in Dallas- four frickin’ hours away…and the last time the Cure played, they played in Dallas and Houston…but not Austin…luckily D-Mode are just in San Antonio (an hour away- I hope…)…for the live music capital of the world, there’s a lot missing…(never mind the fact that Bauhaus completely skipped Texas on their recent tour…)

QUOTE OF THE DAY:
“They’re just Noodles, Michael…just noodles.”- Kiefer Sutherland, The Lost Boys

The KKK has a rally this weekend not too far from where I work…yup, welcome to Texas Mister Brown Skin and Slanty Eyes…wish I had an RPG…Angry Asian Man noted in his blog that in a survey taken of Asians in LA & SF that most of us yeller-skinned folk are worried about the backlash of China’s emergence as a world power…and the sad tale of a man’s displeasure of an Indian American’s possibility of being elected as a councilman because he likens them to the 9/11 hijackers…(despite none of the hijackers being Indian…)….yup…great advances in humanity there…
