Freaky Image from Guillermo Del Toro's new film. Blade II is my favourite film of his and one of the best comiv book related movies out there. I will be checking out this film.
Ah...it must be love, love, love...

Well, my new home beat out my old home…and where was I? Watching the martial arts classic Iron Monkey.

But first- what happened to the Hindu Gods? Well, they were stopped on the way there by Jehovah himself and his witnesses and a huge battle began in the heavens while Beelzebub sat below and enjoyed the game…and was about to sacrifice everyone in Pasadena until he was stopped by the Heavenly Priest, a pig and the Monkey King himself who were on their way to the West (coast)…hence leaving the game to it’s own devices…speaking of sports- the World Cup is this year- ENGALAND!

Cool thing about Longhorn fans though is that they don’t have the poseur-tude of Laker Pride…and the unlikely riot for a championship parade…

As for Iron Monkey- this is one of my fave HK movies…was watching it yesterday and intrigued by the characters speaking of a recent natural disaster, refugees and a plague, wonder if this is historical or just a throwaway point. Wong Kei Ying and Wong Fei Hong are both historical figures with the former being one of the Ten Tigers of Canton and the latter being a cult hero. Also was intrigued by the finale fight scene and how nowadays it’ll be all green-screen and CGI. No, back then it was all wires (that you notice but don’t mind because the action is moving so fast) and actors/stuntmen (yes- that’s Donnie Yen grabbing a burning log with his bare hands!)

Joblo.com has a thing on the top 10 Jennifers in showbiz at http://joblo.com/index.php?id=9816 …surprised that there are actually that many actresses with that name to have a list…I’ve always found Jennifer Love Hewitt to be just adorable and am amazed to find her at #3…

The Smashing Pumpkins’ Bullet with Butterfly Wings is now classified as a flashback song…where have the years gone? They’re playing the Proclaimers right now- anyone know what a heatherin’ is yet?

Sha Po Lang is now ready for order at http://us.yesasia.com/en/Chinese/Videos.aspx .
